In this webinar, Dr. Rhonda Chung, a current lecturer at McGill University, presented land-sensitizing activities aimed to confront imperial history and repair imperial languages' relationship with land. The first one is the Multimodal Autobiographical Landguaging Portrait, an arts-based ethnographic tool to support teachers' and students' self-reflection of their language experiences in connection to the lands where they occur, fostering environmental attunement. The second is the Plurilingual Landguaging Template, which uses plurilingual, land-sensitizing activities to address the challenges of teaching imperial languages on Indigenous territories. Online resources and classroom activities are also provided as tools for educators.
