Pédagogies plurilingues (Entente Canada-Québec)
Co-développer la capacité des enseignants à soutenir les étudiants en français et en anglais langue seconde dans les programmes du Cégep
Project Description:
Funded by Ministère de l’Enseignement supérieur - Entente Canada-Québec, this project, through participatory action research, aims to strengthen instructors’ capacity across disciplines to design and implement plurilingual pedagogies that leverage students’ full communicative repertoires, enhancing both general language skills and discipline-specific literacy.
Responding to Law 14, which mandates Anglophone collegians to complete five courses in French (either language or program courses) starting Fall 2024, this project initiative addresses the bilingual demands of the college programs while advancing inclusive, plurilingual practices that encourage cross-linguistic transfer and integrated understanding across languages and subject areas.
