For Researchers and Educators of English as an Additional Language 

For REEAL aims to promote active engagement of researchers, educators, and in-service and pre-service teachers of English as an additional language (EAL) in critical inquiry into their own practice. Our community seeks to generate new ways of being, thinking, and doing as EAL practitioners and educators.

Through workshops, forums, and sharing of online resources, we hope to:  

 

• Provide collaborative learning spaces for practitioners to ask questions, exchange ideas, and build theories of language teaching and learning.   

• Support practitioners’ life-long professional development.  

• Promote practitioners’ identity as researchers and agents for change and social justice. 

• Develop practitioners' capacity to identify contextual research questions and to find ways to implement change in their practice.
