In this webinar, Raúl Alberto Mora, an associate professor in the School of Education and Pedagogy at Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana in Medellín, Colombia, and Tatiana Gómez-Ramírez, the founder and general manager of ELT Think Tank, introduced their LaV (Language and Victory) project and their findings. This project based on the idea of using gaming skills into the classroom to enhance student engagement and contextual language acquisition while building communities in the classroom. It aimed to help teachers to use gamification as a pathway to new innovative ways to teach. Different examples of gaming-based strategies and projects for the classroom were presented as ways to teach ESL and to bring students' identities into the classroom.
