In this webinar, Emmanuelle Le Pichon-Vorstman (University of Toronto), Marjorie Hewitt, a former ESL program leader of Glendale High School (Ontario), and Jacqueline Mallais, an ESL pedagogical consultant in Montreal, engaged participants in an open, insightful discussion on Language Friendly Schools (LFS), a program designed to foster a multilingual environment and aimed at unlocking student potential by adapting the school setting to meet students' linguistic needs, rather than the reverse. LFS has now expanded across 11 countries, successfully building learning communities that emphasized multilingualism and inclusivity. The webinar included discussions on the core values and mission of the program and the challenges and promising opportunities for language rights and inclusivity in Quebec.
